OVERVIEW
Nike challenged Amplify to create and produce a reactive campaign for out of home and social media celebrating select Nike-sponsored Australian athletes The Matildas, Emma McKeon and Jess Hull competing at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Through a combination of planned and possible key moments, the campaign owned the streets and screens during The Games with Nike’s global narrative: “Winning Isn’t For Everyone.”
MATILDAS PRE-GAMES
Celebrating the mindset of the current generation of Matildas players in the lead up to the games. For many this could be their final Olympics appearance and they had unfinished business. We captured stills and video of Steph Catley, Ellie Carpenter, Alanna Kennedy and Mackenzie Arnold to create an OOH campaign, which included an anamorphic placement. This placement was the first to feature on a brand new 3DOOH site in Melbourne.
EMMA MCKEON REACTIVE
Going into the Games, Emma McKeon was tied with Ian Thorpe for most Olympic gold medal wins. When she won her sixth a social and OOH campaign went live featuring an iconic portrait we captured with photographer, Justin Ridler. The creative was also projected on a lighthouse in Emma’s hometown, Wollongong.
JESS HULL REACTIVE
Ahead of the Olympics, Jess Hull smashed the 2000m world record.
AFL REACTIVES
Following the Paris Olympics, we were tasked with developing reactive creative for Nike teams and athletes competing for the AFL Grand Final trophy and Brownlow Medal. Patrick Cripps took home his second Brownlow.
