Booking.com — Wing It
In Summer 2015 AKQA and Wieden + Kennedy created an integrated campaign encouraging spontaneous travel. With summer lasting only a few short months and with the season always over too soon, Booking.com wanted people to get out there and make the most of it – to wing everything, except their accommodation.
We partnered with Louis Cole, a social influencer who exemplifies the spontaneous traveler, having been on the road and winging it since 2011, to create a content series that covered London, Venice, New York and Los Angeles.
These videos, plus a campaign film, digital and OOH advertising directed traffic to a digital hub filled with UGC that invited users to input interests and information and wing their way to a spontaneous destination.
